Clockwise so the coast comes last
Most coach tours reach O'Sulloc and the west coast in the afternoon. This route goes there first, when the tea rows are quiet, and saves the coast for the end — so the beach, the coastal walk and Aewol Café Street fall in the evening light rather than at midday.
Pickup times move with the sunset
Aewol's sunset ranges from about 17:30 in December to 19:50 in late June. The first pickup is set roughly nine hours before it and updated every two to four weeks, so the day stays about 10.5 hours and ends on the shore around sunset in every season. Your booking shows your exact time.
Two stops most tours skip
Suwolbong is the island's westernmost point and a geosite of the Jeju Island UNESCO Global Geopark — layer after layer of volcanic ash exposed in a sea cliff, with Chagwido island offshore. Sinchang's windmill coast is a photo stop rather than a drive-by. Neither is on the standard bus circuit.
Walk it or ride it — same finish
The 1.2 km Handam Coastal Trail from Gwakji to Aewol is flat, paved and signposted, about 40 minutes at an easy pace. Guests who prefer not to walk stay on the bus and use the same time at the Aewol cafés. Both groups meet at the parking lot with the haenyeo statue, next to the caricature shop on Aewol Café Street.
Entrance fees you would otherwise pay
Camellia Hill and Jusangjeolli Cliff admissions are in the price. O'Sulloc, Suwolbong, Sinchang, Gwakji and the Handam trail are free to enter, so there is nothing to pay on site except lunch and café drinks.

- Easy to moderate. O'Sulloc, Camellia Hill and Gwakji are flat garden and beach paths. Jusangjeolli has steps down to the viewing deck. Suwolbong has a short slope and steps to the cliff-top viewpoint and is exposed to wind.
- The Handam Coastal Trail (Gwakji → Aewol, 1.2 km, about 40 minutes) is flat, paved and signposted, walked without the guide; it is optional, and the bus is the alternative.
- Not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility (steps and uneven coastal paths at Jusangjeolli and Suwolbong). Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- The final stop is planned so that the coastal walk or the Aewol free time ends around sunset. A clear sunset depends on the weather.
- The tour operates in light rain. Suwolbong and Camellia Hill are exposed and can be windy — bring a light jacket even in summer.
- If we cancel the entire tour because of unsafe conditions, you will be offered another date or a full refund. If an individual site is closed by the authorities, we visit a suitable alternative and tell you before the change.
- About one hour at a local restaurant in the Jungmun area (own expense, around ₩12,000–20,000). Your guide recommends black pork, seafood stew or vegetarian options.
- The restaurant varies by day. Bring cash or a card for lunch and for the cafés at O'Sulloc and Aewol.
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time.
- Same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.

It depends on the month: hydrangeas in June and July, pink muhly and pampas grass in October, and camellias in bloom from November to March. Bloom timing varies with the weather; the garden paths are worth the walk in every season.
